R&D TAX CREDITS

How We Make A Claim
We will work with you in a way that is convenient and least disruptive to you and your business. In person or remote, we have the capabilities and processes to compile a comprehensive R&D claim for you in a timeframe that fits your needs. Check out our process below:

Getting To Know You
From the moment you get in touch, we aim to get an in depth understanding of your business and the sector in which it operates: this helps us identify where any R&D may be taking place across the organisation.

Understanding the R&D
Whatever your activity, we want to get a comprehensive understanding of what you and doing to identify any qualifying activity. Depending on the business and your preference, this can be done as a site visit or remote.

Financial Breakdown
We’ll have a few questions and need some information but we do the legwork to get a complete picture of the financials of your R&D claim: staff, subcontractors, consumables and software to name a few.

The Claim
Depending on key information about your company and the research it is undertaking, there are two different types of claims to make:
R&D relief for small or medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) Research and Development Expenditure Credit (RDEC)
After getting to know your business and the R&D it undertakes, we’ll produce the right claim that will justify to HMRC that you are doing qualifying R&D activity. We will work with your existing accountant, or act as your filing agent, to submit the claim to HMRC and follow through to completion.
How Long Does It Take?
Our clients are interested in 2 things here:
How long does it take to produce the claim?
To product the claim, we can work with you to suit your needs. To ensure we are getting the most qualifying costs in your claim we like to take the time to get to know your business and thoroughly understand the financials. However, if time is pressing for a legal deadline we can produce a claim within a day of getting all the required information.
How long does it take to get the tax credit and/or cash sum?
HMRC aim to make payments within 40 days of a claim being submitted. In practice this can be much sooner.
